COHORT-BASED
FACE-TO-FACE LEARNING EXPERIENCE
In-Person Instruction
Students meet on Monday nights from 6:30–8:30 PM for face-to-face theological instruction, leadership training, and personal discipleship with their cohort leader, Pastor Stephen Martin. These sessions are designed to challenge students intellectually, grow them spiritually, and connect them relationally in a tight-knit learning community.
Saturday Intensives (4 per year)
These full-day intensives (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) occur four times per year and focus on Theology and Church Leadership. Each session provides a deep dive into essential topics such as biblical doctrine, church health, pastoral leadership, and ministry strategy. Content is curated by the CLC faculty and may include guest instructors, breakout workshops, case studies, and hands-on exercises that reinforce classroom learning. These intensives could be open to vintage members and attenders as an enrichment course.
Ministry Internships
As part of the program, students serve in a weekly ministry internship at Vintage Church. These internships provide hands-on experience across multiple departments, allowing students to develop practical ministry skills while gaining insight into the systems, culture, and leadership that drive a healthy local church. Each student commits a minimum of serving and leading each Sunday at their location and an additional 5 hours per week in serving a local ministry or adjacent ministry within and/or connected to Vintage Church. Interns will receive guidance and feedback from seasoned ministry leaders as they work alongside and learn how to create healthy church and discipleship environments.
At the heart of CLC is the opportunity to grow face-to-face with Pastor Stephen Martin and other experienced local church leaders who will personally walk with you to disciple, equip, and prepare you for full-time ministry and high-level church leaders who serve in a non-vocational basis; such as local elders, serve team leaders, course leaders, ministry leaders and more.
The program begins with a 12-month immersive cohort experience focused on Christian Theology & Discipleship. This first year is open to all qualified applicants and centers on theological depth, spiritual formation, and ministry foundations. Students receive weekly in-person instruction, participate in four Saturday intensives, and complete a ministry internship.
*For students who demonstrate readiness for greater ministry responsibility, a second-year track—Church Leadership & Pastoral Ministry—may be offered by invitation. This advanced year focuses on deeper leadership development and practical ministry execution through focused apprenticeships within the Vintage Church staff.
