Luis & Martha Pereda
Adjunct Instructor
In 1989, Luis and Martha Pereda, a native Mexican and a missionary from Virginia, united their lives in marriage with a vision to dedicate themselves to serving God and expanding His kingdom.
After serving as a youth pastor and assistant pastor, Luis was ordained in 1995 as lead pastor of the small church in Mexicali, La Gran Comisión (The Great Commission). By the grace of God and the diversity of ministries that He sent to help lay foundations and expand the vision, the church grew and multiplied. Luis and Martha pastored for over 25 years and participated directly and indirectly in the planting of 10 churches in the Baja California region of Mexico. They have been blessed to encourage and equip the saints through conferences for men, women, marriages, leadership, and more. God has also opened doors for them to minister in other countries such as Australia, the Philippines, and Malaysia, where Luis has ministered with a special anointing to awaken and activate the church for evangelism, as well as to encourage and strengthen pastors and leaders.
When God called them to a new season of ministry, Luis and Martha handed over the local church, left everything behind, and moved to the United States in 2022 with the vision to raise up a Hispanic movement of evangelism and church planting that extends throughout all 50 of the United States and beyond to the nations. With an immense and growing US Hispanic population of over 60 million, Luis and Martha hope to join forces with many people and churches to see this vision fulfilled. As firm believers that God desires that none perish, their passion is to motivate churches to step out of their four walls, live the life of Christ empowered by the Spirit, and be part of a great harvest of souls from every nation and tribe for the kingdom of God. Besides raising up a church, they are currently imparting intensive leadership courses and women’s discipleship ministry in a large and thriving church in Central Texas.
In their family life, Luis and Martha have had the joy of raising six children, five of whom are now married. Their greatest legacy is seeing their children love God, walk in His purposes, and pass on this legacy to eight beautiful grandchildren. The future is bright, and they stand amazed and grateful to witness the fulfillment of God’s promises.
